Once upon a time…
There was a girl named Abby Suchla.
She was a designer that loved to be outdoors, play volleyball, doodle animals, and spend afternoons snuggled up with a good book and her dogs…
This is her story.
My Values
In the realm of design, I believe that a strong foundation of values is the compass that guides creativity and professionalism.
Here, I share the core principles that shape both my work as a designer and my journey as an individual.
It’s as simple as A.B.C!
Adaptability
Growing with Change
The design world is ever-changing, and I always aim to keep up. I embrace challenges and feedback as opportunities to grow and use them to drive me forward as a designer. Just like in the natural world, if you don’t adapt to the environment you don’t succeed.
Balance
Layouts and Life
Design is my passion, but I recognize the importance of a balanced life. Striking harmony between work, personal pursuits, and self-care is not just a goal; it's a conscious choice to nurture creativity and well-being simultaneously.
Curiosity
Always be Learning
Curiosity drives my creative engine. As a perpetual learner, I draw inspiration from diverse sources, explore various design disciplines, and approach problem-solving with curiosity. It's the catalyst propelling me to uncover fresh perspectives.
My Process
Even though I approach every project a little differently, there’s a general path I take to get from point A to point B.
1. Research
Whether looking into industry trends or color psychology, I always want to have research to backup my designs.
2. Draft
Using the information I found, I turn it into two or three ideas that could work with the client’s brief. Time for some sketches!
3. Feedback
I thrive off client-designer collaboration and feedback. At this stage I use any opinions to tweak ideas before going for it.
4. Design
I tend to work between adjusting to feedback and designing. This ensures my service are something we are both proud of.
5. Finalize
This is the most exciting part of the design process, finalizing designs and client insight. Yay, designs are coming your way!
